About the EOC

The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) at Capital University is committed to creating a fair, inclusive, and discrimination-free campus. We work to ensure that every student, faculty, and staff member gets equal access to education, resources, and opportunities – regardless of caste, creed, religion,language, ethnicity, gender, socio-economic status, or disability.

Our mission is to make Capital University a place where diversity is respected, rights are protected, and potential is nurtured.

Our Objectives

Promote equality and prevent discrimination in academics, admissions, employment, and campus life.

Provide support and guidance to students from SC/ST/OBC, Minority, Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD).

Organize training, workshops, and awareness programs on diversity, inclusion, and constitutional rights.

Ensure barrier-free access through ramps, assistive technologies, and other infrastructure support.

Create a safe platform for grievance redressal.

Functions of the EOC

Grievance Redressal: Receive and address complaints related to inequality, bias, or harassment

Counselling & Guidance: Help students overcome academic, social, or psychological challenges

Capacity Building:Arrange career counselling, skill development, and placement support programs.

Awareness Campaigns:Conduct lectures, cultural activities, and events promoting unity and tolerance.

Monitoring:Keep records of activities and submit annual reports to the UGC and university authorities.

How to File a Grievance

Students, staff, and faculty can submit complaints or suggestions:

1. In person: At the Office of the Registrar, Capital University.

2. Through suggestion box: Located at key points in the campus.

All complaints will be handled confidentially and appropriate action will be taken promptly
