Introduction:

At Capital University, the Seminar & Workshop Committee plays a pivotal role in enhancing the academic environment by organizing seminars, workshops, and conferences. These events provide a platform for students, faculty members, and external experts to share knowledge, discuss emerging trends, and engage in intellectual discourse. Objective:

The primary objective of the Seminar & Workshop Committee at Capital University is to foster academic growth and skill development by:

• Organizing events that bridge theoretical knowledge and practical application.
• Encouraging faculty and student participation in global research discussions and technological advancements.
• Providing a forum for learning about current trends, innovations, and professional practices across disciplines.
• Promoting the development of research and collaborative projects within and beyond the university.


Functions & Responsibilities:

1. Planning and Organizing Events:

• Identify relevant academic topics and themes for seminars and workshops in consultation with the heads of departments and faculty members.
• Develop an annual calendar for seminars and workshops to be integrated into the academic year.


2. Coordination with External Experts:

• Identify and invite prominent guest speakers, industry professionals, and subject matter experts to deliver keynote speeches, conduct workshops, or participate in panel discussions.
• Establish collaborations with other universities, research institutions, and industry leaders to enrich the content and impact of the events.


3. Event Logistics:

• Manage all aspects of event planning, including venue arrangements, technical support, participant registration, and materials distribution.
• Ensure the availability of required audio-visual equipment, internet access, and other logistical necessities.


4. Financial Management:

• Prepare event budgets, manage funds, and seek external sponsorships if needed.
• Ensure that all events are cost-effective and meet financial guidelines of Capital University.


5. Promotion and Outreach:

• Promote seminars and workshops through various communication channels, including the university’s website, social media, and printed materials.
• Encourage student and faculty engagement by offering certificates of participation and attendance.
