On November 14, Capital University proudly celebrated the birth anniversary of India’s first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, a leader whose vision and dedication to nation-building continue to inspire generations. Known as "Chacha Nehru," he was a champion for children’s welfare and believed that children are the true strength and future of our nation. Thus, this day is celebrated across India as Children's Day to honor his contributions and passion for youth development.
The event began with a floral tribute to Pandit Nehru, followed by an address by esteemed faculty and students, highlighting his remarkable role in shaping modern India. His dreams of a progressive, educated, and secular nation continue to resonate in the corridors of education today, making this occasion a particularly special one for our university community.
Students actively participated in a variety of engaging programs, including essay writing, poetry recitation, and art competitions, all inspired by Pandit Nehru's values and vision. A panel discussion featuring university faculty explored Nehru’s impact on India's educational policies and the importance of fostering curiosity and knowledge among young minds.
Capital University remains committed to carrying forward Pandit Nehru’s legacy by nurturing an environment of learning, equality, and national pride. The celebrations concluded with inspiring messages, motivating students to carry forward the dreams that Pandit Nehru envisioned for a united and progressive India.
