About the SEDG Cell
The Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups (SEDG) Cell at Capital University is dedicated to supporting students from economically weaker and underprivileged backgrounds.
We believe that financial or social challenges should never be a barrier to education.
Our aim is to provide financial assistance, academic guidance, and emotional support so that every student can complete their education with dignity and confidence
Our Objectives
Identify and support students from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), orphans, firstgeneration learners, and marginalized communities.
Provide access to scholarships, fee concessions, and financial aid schemes.
Organize remedial classes, bridge courses, and skill development programs.
Offer career guidance, mentoring, and counselling for personal and professional growth.
Reduce dropout rates by ensuring continuous support throughout the academic journey.
Services We Provide
Financial Assistance: Guidance for availing government and private scholarships, fee waivers, and instalment facilities
Academic Support: Remedial coaching, extra classes, and study material support.
Skill Development: Workshops on communication skills, career readiness, and entrepreneurship.
Counselling & Mentoring: One-on-one sessions for academic and emotional support
Placement Support: Assistance in internships, training, and job opportunities.
